A HUNGER ARTIST

Lithographion Theatre presents The Hunger Artist by Cesaris Grauzinis, a play that is being staged for the first time and is based on the novella Ein Hungerkünstler by Franz Kafka. It is the story of an artist who, thanks to his unique ability to abstain from food for long periods of time, attracts crowds and becomes famous. But, unfortunately, times and public tastes change... The play was written in Patras, during the second quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic, when theaters were closed, live theater performances were prohibited and artists were unemployed.
